This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240BE26Q0108 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for complete reconditioning of two belly dump trailers. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 811310 The small business size standard is $12.5 million This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Statement of Requirement The Government requires the complete reconditioning of two belly dump trailers. Work includes full structural refurbishment, replacement of critical mechanical systems, and complete modernization of electrical, air, and safety components. Both trailers will undergo full frame inspection and reinforcement, including crack repair, straightening, and replacement or fabrication of structural elements such as crossmembers and push blocks. The requirement includes full suspension and axle replacement, installation of a new kingpin and upper coupler components (if needed), and a complete electrical and air system overhaul from front to back. The trailers hopper and gate systems will be rebuilt, including installation of a new AR liner, rebushed hinges, and new cylinders. Both trailers will receive new hardware throughout, updated safety equipment, a new landing gear assembly, and a new fender and mudflap system. Additionally, each trailer will be fitted with new wheels and tires. Finally, both trailers must undergo a complete sandblast, surface preparation, priming, and repainting process to restore protective coatings and ensure long?term durability. All work must return the trailers to safe, reliable, and fully operational condition suitable for continued service.
